From a long line of creative folks…
People have always meant well.
Some people treat me as if I were the same as them.
Others want to emphasize our differences.
I’ve learned how to be different in my sameness;
How to blend,
How to play up my unique characteristics.
Origin
My story starts in Canada where I was born.
I had a happy childhood but I grew up surrounded by people that don’t look like me.
In the 90s, Black people represented about 0.8% of the population according to census data.
I never let that get to me.
You’ll hear it in my music.
It hits different.

I am a sucker for analog. I started “in the box” so naturally I became obsessed with escaping it.
